Nature Versus Nurture

DJ has great listening skills. It seems apart of her nature to be a good listener. To continue to develop her listening comprehension, she should practice identifying the main point being made, understand the difference between supporting details and the main topic, and reference information that has hidden meanings. Listening comprehension can also be developed by reading to her and asking her to retell the story and questioning her about what was just read. Like it is so often said, that you have really learned something when you can stand up and teach it to others. In this case, you have really read something when you can tell the story to others.
