Self Help Techniques
This is, by far, the most common approach taken by people with obsessive compulsive disorder.

“Self help” simply means any method(s) used that do not include drugs or medication, or traditional behavioral therapy. Examples of this would be participating in online forums for anxiety disorders or OCD, reading books by former sufferers, and “talk” therapy with others in the same position.

Self help for OCD allows you the freedom to try any approach you feel will benefit you, without the strict regime that medication and behavioral therapy often impose on you.

For that reason, self help is considered by most people with the condition to be the single best treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder.
