Planning a Summer Wedding

Beautiful sunshine, lightweight suits and dresses, cold cocktails, summer is the most popular time of year to get married.

Here’s some tips for a happy summer wedding:

*Have a back-up plan. Summer usually means cloudless days and lots of sun, but rain can happen. Be sure your Plan B is ready, just in case.

*Water! And if it’s not falling from the sky, be sure to provide lots of water for your guests, as hot temperatures can lead to dehydration and heat stroke, neither of which make for a pleasant side-show at a wedding.

*Likewise, provide shade. Different people have different tolerances for direct sunlight, and if your wedding location doesn’t provide it, be sure to rent some portable shade for breaks from the sun.

*Enlist in the expertise of others. Caterers, wedding planners and photographers (such as Denver wedding videographers) have seen it all before, and can be invaluable sources of creative thinking when things seem to go wrong.

*Enjoy yourself! Things will happen, but regardless of the unplanned mishaps, keep a smile on your face! This is your big day.
