Teleprompter Training Tip #47: Get Involved

Probably sounds a touch corny, but your job is more than just delivering the message. You have to sell it!

It’s possible to get so relaxed reading a script that you look like your going to sleep.

Your script is an important message and not something you want to deliver looking like you’re falling asleep. Your don’t even have to like what you’re talking about or even agree with it. You do have to get the message across convincingly though. Vary your speech patterns, stress key words, use gestures. Practice your delivery in front of a mirror and make sure it doesn’t look like you’re tired of the whole business!

All the information you will need is in the script and it’s designed to put across a precise message. Make the audience realize how important that message is.
